Q.What was your favorite event?
A.All of my weddings! I love seeing the excitement on the brides' faces when things come together. They get a brief relief moment from the stress of everything. One that truly sticks out in my mind is a wedding from about a year ago. I had a wedding at a client’s house. The family had been through a very tragic few months. They had called off the wedding because of the passing of a family member. But a week after they called and said they were going to still have the wedding and reception as planned, the family needed it and the family member would have wanted it that way. The wedding and reception were absolutely gorgeous. The love that was present was overwhelming. I still keep in touch with the wonderful mother of bride.
Q.How long have you been working in the event industry?
A.I have been in the event industry for 16 years as of August 2016. I have had the privilege of working at Classic Event and Tent Rentals for 9 years. I have been blessed to have had the same clients the entire time I have been in the industry as well as met many new clients every year. I value the vendors as well that I have had the pleasure to work beside.
Q.How would you describe your design style?
A.My design style is open minded. I know what I like but I always keep the look that client is going for in mind. My job is to make the client happy no matter what I think. I always tell the client that I am more than happy to give my 2 cents worth but it is always their vision we want to complete. I enjoy giving the client ideas and always love it when we fine tune everything to exactly what they want.
Q.What’s your favorite type of venue to work with?
A.I love working with hotels. They have everything in house, the load ins are usually pretty simple for my guys and they have a great staff that can answer any and all questions. I love working with all of my venues though! They have great people and they are always very helpful.
Q.What was your most challenging event?
A.There have been a few. Ceilings are always a challenge. I have had a wonderful honor to work with fantastic clients that are open to discussion just in case things don’t work out like they they had hoped. Once you get on site and get the install started, you have to roll with the punches when any unexpected issue arises. They absolute goal is to make sure the client is happy.
Q.What type of events do you have the most experience in?
A.All of them! I have worked weddings, corporate, festivals, back yard BBQ’s, everything you can imagine! I am always surprised by the new and evolving ideas I see used on all of the events.
